Phishing and other Security Alerts!

They may look real but they aren't.   We've been noticing that there are websites on the internet that look like they are real and legitimate.  Think to yourself, why would we (this Credit Union, other financial institutions, NCUA, CUNA, etc.) ask for information we should already have?

Think twice before giving out information.  For instance, if you need to give your PIN, birthdate, mother's maiden name, or social security number to someone who CALLED YOU first, ask WHY?  If it is for their records, ask them if you can give some other information.

NEVER give your PIN (number) for your Credit, Debit or ATM Card to anyone, especially the credit union....we'll never ask you for your PIN!  When you input your PIN (number), cover your fingers.  Someone may be peering over your shoulder.

Sign your Plastic Cards as soon as you receive them,  or someone else will.  When you receive your reissued credit, debit or ATM card, sign them as soon as possible or the thief will.  Although, merchants should be checking your identification, many are not.  If you have "See ID," what if the thief has a fake ID?
